Singing Behavior: Songs consist of long, low-pitched trills -- sometimes broken. The dominant frequency is 3.1 kHz at 75 F (24 C) with 137 pulses/sec (SINA, accessed 13-06-2021). The calls are given from an underground chamber, as in N. borellii, but have a more nasal quality.
