Comments: This species is primarily boreal with records from northern New England and Canada. Our record from the Black Mountains is located greater than 500 miles from the next documented population. Like several of our moth species, this beetle is probably a Pleistocene relict and is probably limited in its distribution in North Carolina to high elevation stands of spruce.
