Description: A dark species, with dark brown to blackish wings with some paler cream spots. There is a pale midline/stripe that begins on the head and extends across the thorax down the inner margins of the wings. The part of the stripe that crosses the thorax is typically reddish in color. There are several dark spots along the costal margin of each wing. The ground color of the head and thorax is dark tawny. The face is a dark brown-reddish color with pale outer margins. Adult males are 5.8-7.2 mm long while females are 6.8-7.8 mm. (Kramer, 1983)

Habitats: Has been found in mixed hardwood forest.
Plant Associates:
Behavior: Can be attracted at night with a light.
Comment: The pale stripe does not sharply contrast with the margins compared to P. delicata, which has a bold white stripe.
