The ground color of the head and thorax is dark tawny to brownish. The wings are mostly black and there is a bold, unicolorous white or cream stripe that extends across the head and thorax and down the inner margin of the wings, contrasting with the black wing color. Adult males are 5.2-6.6 mm long while females are 5.5-7.0 mm. (Kramer, 1983)
