Description: A bold, striking species. The wings are largely red, with a large circular white 'saddle' down the middle of the wings; the tips are yellowish, and there are some white patches along the costal margins, with a black dot present on each margin. The pronotum, scutellum, and vertex are yellow to white, with pale orange submedial lines on the vertex and a pale midline. Thhere is a Y or V-shaped yellow-orange mark on the pronotum, and the lateral triangles of the scutellum are yellowish. The face and underside of the body are also pale. Adults are 2.6-2.8 mm long. Distribution: Primarily Midwestern and Northeastern United States, in the Mississippi and Ohio River Valleys; largely absent from much of the Southeastern United States (3I)
Abundance: Rare, recorded from two counties in the mountains; possibly more abundant in the right habitat, especially this region.

Habitats:

Behavior: Can be attracted at night with a light.
Comment: A visually striking species that resembles no other Eratoneura in our region.
