comments |
This species is most likely to be confused with S. brunneus, which has similar coloration. However, the key differentiating factor is the shape of the head. In S. acutus, the head is very pointed, forming a sharp angle when viewed from the side; however, in S. brunneus the head is more rounded and lacks the sharpness. Furthermore, S. acutus is much more slender in shape. |
