The wings are mottled, and the apical cells of the forewings are comparatively broad. Members of this genus are infrequently encountered. This is the only brachypterous genus of Cixiids in the United States, and macropters are less common than brachypters (UDEL). Note that this species is similar to members of Pintalia, but has different paler markings on the wings. |
