synonym
description A brownish species with two forms. The typical form is brownish overall with markings on the abdomen. The frons is completely unmarked; here are images of a male and female brachypterous specimen. Note that the male has a darker abdomen than the female. The other form is 'rotundata' which has bolder markings on the abdomen and thorax. These markings are a combination of red, brown, and black. The antennal segments for both forms are pale.
distribution Eastern United States and Ontario (UDEL)
abundance Uncommon, recorded across the state but primarily from the Piedmont; likely more abundant in the right habitat.
