description A robust, yellowish-green (tinged with orange) to dull-green (tinged with brown) species that has pale wing venation; this gives the species a striped appearance. The crown is relatively broad and bluntly rounded, with a median stripe that has an oblique pale dash on either side, near the eye. The posterior margin of the female pregenital sternite is produced and rounded medially, with a shallow but broad lateral emargination. Adults are 2.5-3.5 mm long. (Wheeler, 1940)

abundance Previously recorded from the state, though unclear from where; one recent record from the Piedmont.
