Habitats and Life History
Habitats:
Larval Host Plants: Larvae feed on a wide range of forbs, with some woody plants also listed (Robinson et al., 2010). Wagner et al. (2010) specifically list lettuce (Lactuca), Cultivated Tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum), Garden Pea (Pisum sativum), Potato (Solanum tuberosum), clover (Trifolium), Wheat (Triticum aestivum), and Corn (Zea mays). In North Carolina, a larva has been reared from American Burnweed (Erechtites hieraciifolia). - View
