Species Status: Braun (1915) described this species based on males collected at Balsam in North Carolina and at Cincinnati in Ohio.

Adult Markings: From Braun (1915): The head and appendages are very pale yellow, and the flap of scales on the basal segment of the antenna is somewhat deeper yellow. The thorax is pale yellow or white, and the patagia golden yellow. The forewing is golden yellow and deepens towards the apex, where the color is deep orange. The costal margin from l/5 to just beyond the beginning of the cilia, and the dorsal portion of the wing below the fold, are pale yellow, then fade almost to white on the extreme margins. The legs are pale yellowish white, except for the anterior tibiae and tarsi, which are dark brown externally. This species characteristically rests with the front markedly raised above the substrate.
Wingspan: 9-9.5 mm (Braun, 1915)
