Habitats and Life History
Habitats: Our three records come from a non-riverine swamp forest in the Coastal Plain and a dry oak-hickory forest and wet-mesic hardwood forest in the Piedmont

State Protection: Has no legal protection, although permits are required to collect it on state parks and other public lands.
Comments: This species appears to be far less common than its host plants, although it does not seem to be geographically restricted (see map on MPG)
