Habitats and Life History
Habitats:
Larval Host Plants: The larvae feed on members of the Betulaceae and less commonly on members of the Myricaceae (Craighead et al., 1950; Schaffner, 1959; Neunzig, 1972; Prentice, 1966; Pohl et al., 2005; Robinson et al., 2010). The reported hosts include alders (Alnus), Yellow Birch (Betula alleghaniensis), Paper Birch (B. papyrifera), Gray Birch (B. populifolia), hazelnuts (Corylus) and sweet-gales (Myrica). - View
