Habitats and Life History
Habitats: Our records come mainly from fairly dry, open habitats. In the Coastal Plain, we have records from sandhill habitats; in the Piedmont, we have records both from mafic barrens, glades, Piedmont Longleaf glades, and dry monadnock forests; in the Mountains, our records come from lakeshore and residential areas.
Larval Host Plants: Host plants are poorly documented. Heppner (2007) lists clover (Trifolium) and dandelion (Taraxacum), but it is unclear if this is based on captive rearing records. We do not have any feeding records in North Carolina. - View
