Adult Markings: The ground color of the wings is buff, dusted with brown or red; the discal spot is white, surrounded by a heavy black border (Forbes, 1948).

Habitats and Life History
Habitats: Our records come from a wide range of habitat types but mainly from wet to mesic forests.
Larval Host Plants: Larvae feed on oaks (Wagner et al., 2001). As of 2024, our only feeding record is for Turkey Oak (Quercus laevis). - View
