Habitats and Life History
Habitats: Woodlands and forests (Wagner, 2005). Our records come from a wide variety of hardwood forests, including bottomlands, mesic slopes, dry-xeric sand ridges, cove forests, and high elevation northern hardwoods.
Larval Host Plants: Larvae feed on oaks (Wagner, 2005). Reports from other hosts require verification. In North Carolina, larvae have been recorded feeding on White Oak (Quercus alba). - View
