Habitats and Life History
Habitats: Our records all come from montane floodplains or shorelines
Larval Host Plants: Hosts are poorly documented, but there is a BugGuide record (George Smiley, 2023) of a larva on Panicled Tick-trefoil (Desmodium paniculatum) in Texas. That species, however, occurs across the state and in a wide range of habitats. Consequently, it does not provide much insight into what appear to be the fairly restricted habitats used by this moth. Other species of Desmodium may be more likely to be important hosts for this species. - View
