The lines are rust-colored and run straight, or slightly concave, across the wing; the postmedian can show a costal angulation. The antemedian and postmedian lines are preceded by clear yellow. The orbicular and reniform spots are usually faint but show a plain orange outline. Hindwings are yellow. Other members of this genus have a postmedian line that is indistinct, waved, or punctiform (see key in Forbes, 1954).
