Comments: One of seven species in this genus that occur in North America north of Mexico (Cigliano et al., 2018), six of which have been recorded in North Carolina

Comments: (see below). As noted in his description of cuneata, Morse (1901) noted that the tarsi and most of the tibia on the hind leg are darkened, which appears to be consistent with specimens identified based on the male reproductive structures. We have also noticed a blackened area located at the apex of the hind femur. This character is not present in all specimens, however; in some the hind legs are entirely green.

Structural Features: The fork-like process of the male supra-anal plate is similar to that of furcata but are more compressed, both laterally and dorso-ventrally (see Structural Photos).
