Key Habitat Requirements
Habitat:
This subspecies occurs in salt and brackish marshes and tidal creeks around the margins of Pamlico Sound (Palmer and Braswell, 1995). It also uses freshwater ponds on adjoining terrestrial areas of the Outer Banks and mainland.
