Comments: Described as Clubiona pallens, Hentz, 1847, but that epithet was preoccupied and the species renamed excepta. The genus Elaver was formally revalidated by Brescovit, Bonaldo & Mikhailov, 1994.
Identification
Online Description/Photos: Dusky heartmark anterior to chevrons markings on a grayish-tan abdomen. Trapezoidal-shaped, dusky markings laterad to chevrons. Total Length: Females 6.7-7.4mm, males 4.5-6.5Adult ID: identifiable by photo
Structural Features: Females have an epigynal scape attached at its anterior end, unique to this species among the members of this genus.
