Comments: Specimens of all other species of Wadotes have been collected from within the range of W. calcaratus, but only W. tennesseensis has been shown to exist syntopically with W. calcaratus. Specimens of both these species were recovere d from a leaf litter sample from Jackson County, North Carolina .

Comments: —Although widespread and common throughout muc h of its range, W. calcaratus is not common in pine forests and has not bee n collected from the isolated spruce/fir forests of the southern Appalachians .
