Identification

Comments: This species is dimorphic, and has been found from ~ 3000-4600', mostly on Rhododendron maximum, but recently also on a broad leaved Solidago. Females and juveniles tend to have a black head where the other species are yellow. Males are similar to inclemens but the leg patterns and palp fringe colors are different. M. inclemens black form male have yellow fringes on palps, M. sp D black form male has white fringes on palps.
