Identification

Comments: Abdomen, cephalathorax and legs yellowish green. Abdomen yellow green below but on the variable upper surface it has a large orange/black patch sometimes with large white spots. The cephalathorax and legs are pale green. Younger females look more translucent. Males are more translucent and can have reddish/brown palps and reddish spots on legs. Differs from A. guttulatus by having black areas or spots near the front as well as in the center of the back.

Distribution in North Carolina
Comments: Likely statewide in North Carolina. Ranges from New Jersey south to Georgia. Adults active spring and summer, June-August peak.
