taxonomic_comments Anasaitis canosa (Walckenaer, 1837) has been placed in seven different genera, its most recent placement being in 1999 (Edwards, 1999).

id_comments A small, dark salticid spider, the sexes of A.canosa have a similar appearance, with a white band around the abdomen, the ends of which do not meet. It also has a white mark near the heart area, as well as white spots on the cephalothorax.
