Photo Gallery for Steatoda unidentified species a false widow

Recorded by: Donald Zepp
Randolph Co.
Comment: Found indoors, running on folding table at a child's birthday party. This is a young spiderling, 1.3mm long. Its slightly purple cast and its markings suggest a (very) young S. grossa. There being no other Steatoda records from Randolph Co., I have entered it here, and shall attempt to rear it...watch this space.
