Habitats and Life History
Habitats:
Larval Host Plants: Larvae feed on goldenrods (Solidago spp.), including Canada Goldenrod (S. canadensis), Midwestern Stiff Goldenrod (S. rigida), and Northern Wand Goldenrod (S. stricta) (Wagner et al., 2011). They also reportedly feed on asters (Crumb, 1956), but we are unaware of any specific host records. In North Carolina, larvae have been found on goldenrods, including Showy Goldenrod (S. speciosa). - View
