Habitats and Life History
Habitats: The range of habitats used by this species in North Carolina matches both that of Eulithis diversilineata and Muscadine Grape. These range from maritime dunes and forests, to swamp forests, bottomlands and mesic forests, xeric sand ridges and monadnocks, cove forests and high elevation hardwoods.
Larval Host Plants: Larvae reportedly feed on grape (Vitis) and Virginia Creeper (Parthenocissus quinquefolia) (Wagner, 2005). There is also a BugGuide record (George Smiley, 2014) for a larva on Porcelain-berry (Ampelopsis glandulosa) in Texas. We do not have any feeding records in North Carolina. - View
