Adult Structural Features: Male antennae are serrate, not pectinate as in ferrugata (Forbes, 1948)

Habitats and Life History
Habitats: Our records from the Coastal Plain come almost entirely from wet forests, including non-riverine swamp forests. Piedmont records also include riparian forests. Mountain records come from riparian forests and cove forests.
Larval Host Plants: Larvae feed on Impatiens (Dyar, cited by Forbes, 1948). Covell (1984) additionally lists Birch, Blackberry, Hawthorn, and Willow.
