Habitats and Life History
Habitats: Found across the range of Nyssa species, including swamp forests and blackwater riparian forests in the Coastal Plain and dry ridges in the Piedmont and Mountains
Larval Host Plants: Larvae feed on Nyssa species (Wagner et al., 2011). Covell (1984) also lists hickory (Carya) and walnut (Juglans). David George has documented a larva believed to be this species feeding on Blackgum (Nyssa sylvatica) in Durham County. - View
