Habitats and Life History
Habitats: Coastal Plain records come from the edges of pocosins and other wetlands. Mountain records come from both alluvial forests and mesic slopes, including some at high elevations. In both areas, the distribution of the moth strongly parallels the distribution of Clethra.
Larval Host Plants: Larvae feed on sweet-pepperbush, with Coastal Sweet-pepperbush (Clethra alnifolia) confirmed and Mountain Sweet-pepperbush (C. acuminata) presumed based on distributional patterns (Wagner et al., 2011). - View
