Habitats and Life History
Habitats: Our very few Piedmont records come from bottomland hardwoods and from a stand of basic-mesic forest. Records from the Mountains come from alluvial forests, cove forests, and Northern Hardwoods at the highest elevations.
Larval Host Plants: Larvae have been recorded on American Hornbeam, Birch, Beech, Oak, and -- less commonly -- on Elm, Maple, and Walnut (Wagner et al., 2011) - View
