Habitats and Life History
Habitats: Our records come mainly from cove forests and high elevation hardwoods in the Mountains. Records in the Piedmont come from shoreline habitats or mesic slopes.
Larval Host Plants: Larvae feed on primarily on ironweed (Vernonia), but have also been reported from Eupatorium and Sweet Joe-pye-weed (Eutrochium purpureum) (Forbes, 1954; Robinson et al., 2010). - View
