Identification

Comments: Abdomen, cephalathorax and legs green. Abdomen red on dorsum with two rows of small red spots with a white outline, white medial stripe. Araneus bonsallae and niveus is similar but has a blackish/red patch on dorsum. Araneus cinculatus red patched color form has less extensive red and lacks white outline of spots and can lack distinct white median stripe.
Total Length: Very small, 4-6 mm.Adult ID: identifiable by photo
Distribution in North Carolina
Comments: Fort Bragg, Cumberland County. April and November records.
