Comments: Abdomen, cephalathorax and legs green. Abdomen greenish below but on the upper surface it has a large orange/red patch with a series of large white blotches. Two rows of red spots on abdomen. Some individuals have black on the abdomen between spots. Younger females look more translucent. Males have reddish/brown palps and bands on legs. Differs from the red masked form of A. cingulatis by having more extensive red and presence of white blotches.
Total Length: Very small, Female 3.8-6 mm, male 3.9-4.8 mm.Adult ID: identifiable by photo
Distribution in North Carolina
Comments: Eastern United States from Maine to Georgia, west to Kansas and Texas, most records June to early September.
