structural_features
silk_web F. pyramitela's common name, "bowl and doily weaver" derives from the two main parts of its web, comprising a "finger-bowl-like cup beneath which is stretched a nearly horizontal sheet (quote attributed to Comstock by B.J. Kaston, 1948), above the "bowl" is an irregular labyrinth which can be sizable. Prey that falls onto the bowl is pulled through by the spider hanging beneath.
