Habitats and Life History
Habitats: Our records come mainly from upland stands of hardwoods, but also from sites in the Coastal Plain which include upland and bottomland sites in close proximity
Larval Host Plants: Larvae feed on Nyssa species (Robinson et al., 2010). Based on the location of our records for confirmed specimens, Blackgum (Nyssa sylvatica) is likely used over most of the state but Swamp Tupelo (N. biflora) may also be used in the coastal plain. - View
