Habitats and Life History
Habitats: Almost all of our records for this species come from dry-xeric sand ridges in the Coastal Plain. One Piedmont record comes from dry woodlands on a monadnock.
Larval Host Plants: Reported to feed on Euphorbia albomarginata, a Southwestern species (Robinson et al., 2010) and Chamaesyce, another western spurge (Powell & Opler, 2009). Xerophytic members of the Euphorbiaceae are also common members of the sandhill communities of the Southeast and may be used here as well. - View
